The GYROTONIC® method is an original and unique movement practice. GYROTONIC® exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements, which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions, with corresponding breath. With GYROTONIC® exercises, each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.

The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is a holistic approach to movement that is designed to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities. GYROTONIC® students are both young and elders, recovering from illness or injury, and healthy. Some of the benefits of GYROTONIC® exercises include increased strength and flexibility, renewed energy and vitality and a general sense of calm and well being.
The body is designed to work as one harmonious system, to follow arcing and spiraling paths of motion, and to transition from one movement to the next smoothly, and efficiently. GYROTONIC® method creator, Juliu Horvath, designed a specialized line of equipment around these natural movement patterns of the human body.

Pilates is a method of exercise designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body in correct posture and alignment. It takes a whole body, integrative approach to movement. The exercises are performed on finely crafted machines that support the body. With it's focused breathing patterns, coupled with smooth controlled exercises adapted to your own body’s specific needs, Pilates has proven itself invaluable not only as a fitness endeavor, but also as an important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation. Most importantly, it adds a feeling of vitality to ones life.
Pilates yields numerous benefits including increased lung capacity and circulation; strength and flexibility; and coordination - both muscular and mental. Holly grew up as an athlete and has been involved in fitness for most of her life. Working with the Famous Golden Door she has traveled the world aboard the Royal Viking and Sagafjord cruise ships with the Fitness staff team. Upon returning home she was part of the fitness staff at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate Mexico where she taught a range of classes including Leading hikes, Pilates, Step, Spin and water fitness. She then found her passion for Pilates and has been a Certified Physical Mind mat and apparatus Pilates instructor since 2002. She started taking GYROTONIC® classes in 2003 and became fascinated with the unique method of movement and became certified in GYROTONIC® in 2006. Continuing her studies and practice she obtained her GYROKINESIS® certificate in 2008. She is also certified to teach on the Jumping Stretch Board, a special apparatus of the GYROTONIC® method. Unlike some other methods of movement, she feels GYROTONIC® addresses the whole body and you come out feeling refreshed all over, therefore it is a must try! Holly continues to attend continuing education workshops to stay up to date and to be able to pass on her love of movement.
