GYROTONIC® exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements, which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions, with corresponding breath. With GYROTONIC® exercises, each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.

The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is a holistic approach to movement that is designed to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities. GYROTONIC® students are both young and old, recovering from illness or injury and healthy. Some of the benefits of GYROTONIC® exercises include increased strength and flexibility, renewed energy and vitality and a general sense of calm and well being.

With it's focused breathing patterns, coupled with smooth controlled exercises adapted to your own body’s specific needs, Pilates has proven itself invaluable not only as a fitness endeavor, but also as an important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation. Most importantly, it adds a feeling of vitality to ones life.

Pilates yields numerous benefits including increased lung capacity and circulation; strength and flexibility; and coordination - both muscular and mental. Posture, balance, and core strength are all beautifully increased. Bone density and joint health improve, and many experience positive body awareness for the first time.
