Circulatory/Swedish Massage

Swedish massage, also known as circulatory massage, is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. Oil or lotion is applied to the skin so techniques such as rolling, kneading and percussion can be applied with ease.   These movements promote general relaxation and improve blood circulation and assist the lymphatic system in cleansing the body of toxins. Clients undress according to their comfort level and are appropriately draped with a sheet.  Circulatory Massage can be performed at varying degrees of depth to the body, please specify at the time of booking if you are in need of a deeper touch.

Deep Tissue

Using a series of deep compressions, pressure is slowly increased as the muscle tissue relaxes and invites the therapist’s hands deeper into the tissue. This work can help release chronic pain and muscle tension. Unlike a deeper circulatory massage, which encompasses the entire body; Deep Tissue Sculpting sessions target only one or two areas of the body for which the client asks to have addressed. This work is performed directly on the skin without the use of oil or lotion.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body and stretching to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress. This treatment can include the use of heat, CBD and/or essential oils, liniments, cupping, and/or gua sha depending on the situation.

Sports Massage

Focusing on the muscles associated with specific physical activities, this form of therapeutic massage can be effectively administered pre- or post-event and after injury or trauma to the area. A combination of circulatory, deep tissue, deep transverse friction and trigger point therapy helps to alleviate pain and encourage proper fluid movement which reduces swelling and helps keep the athlete in a state of peak performance.

Tui Na

This Traditional Chinese Medical massage focuses on unblocking and restoring proper blood and energy (chi) flow to the meridians and muscles, thereby strengthening the organs, tissues, and immune system. The use of various hand techniques and pressure makes this work very effective in relieving muscle pain, trauma, chronic fatigue and many other common ailments.

Zen-Touch™ Shiatsu

Zen Touch is a relaxing, balancing and very powerful experience, which allows the client to understand the mechanics of how the energy flows over the body and how, by restoring its proper functioning, will improve the overall health in the body. The practitioner works down the meridians of the body working the acupressure points, while gently stretching the body and opening up the flow of energy.

Passive Joint

Passive Joint Massage is the practice of undulation, slow cyclings, and mobilization techniques that integrate neuro-muscular functions with everyday movement and behavior. This therapeutic approach is gentle and non-invasive. The use of gentle oscillations, undulations, and other rhythmical movements to disarm holding patterns, relieve stress, encourage full, integrated action and clear intention.

Pre & Post Natal Massage

Pregnancy massage is massage therapy specifically tailored for the expectant mother’s needs. Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling). In addition, massage reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, helps to relax nervous tension-which aids in better sleep-and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes.
